Uniform Information

There is a compulsory school uniform.  This is:

School uniform

  • White shirt, white blouse or red/white polo shirt (with or without a school badge).
  • Red jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without a school badge).
  • Grey or black trousers, skirt or pinafore dress.
  • Red and white gingham summer dress (in summer time).
  • There is also a red school fleece available as an optional extra.
  • Sensible, enclosed, black shoes. No trainers please.

Smart Watches (which connect to the internet) and Mobile Phones are not to be bought into school for any reason.

Sports

For indoor P.E. children require black or navy shorts and white t-shirt. Indoor black plimsolls are optional.  The same clothing can be worn for games/ outdoor PE with the addition of suitable footwear, but in cold weather blue or black tracksuits may be worn. No large/ obvious sports logos please.

Swimming

For swimming, a one-piece costume should be worn by girls, and trunks - rather than shorts - by boys.  A swimming cap may be worn by children whose hair is long enough to reach their eyes.  Goggles can be worn, but only by children whose parents have filled in the correct permission slip which is available from the school office. All long hair must be tied up and all jewellery (including earrings) must be removed.

Items of clothing with a school logo can be obtained from 'School Trends' online. There is no obligation to purchase logo uniform, plain uniform is also acceptable.

As stated above, the school uniform is compulsory, the Governors of the school feel that wearing of uniform demonstrates pride in the school.

Shoes with raised heels are not permitted, as they are dangerous in the playground. Jewellery is not permitted for the same reason, with the exception of a pair of stud ear rings and a watch (either analogue or digital). Both of these must be removed for sporting activities.
