All Big Maths Beat That challenge sheets and timed songs can be found below. Please see the relevant information for your child's year group:

Year 1
Please make sure your children are practising the year 1 sheets indicated by 'Y1' in the circle in the bottom right corner (17 questions) and using the 30 second timer. 
The idea of these challenges is that the children work hard to recognise number bonds to 10, doubles and basic single digit addition facts and can recall these rapidly (hopefully by sight) rather than counting in their heads or on their fingers. The target is for the children to keep improving their score, by beating their BEST EVER SCORE, and ultimately eventually completing all 17 questions in 30 seconds. 

Year 2

Please make sure your children are practising the year 2 sheets indicated by 'Y2' in the circle in the bottom right corner (40 questions) and using the 90 second timer.

The idea of these challenges is that the children work hard to answer single digit addition facts and x2, x5 and x10 times table facts and can recall these rapidly (hopefully by sight) rather than counting in their heads or on their fingers. The children need to learn how to quickly distinguish between working out additions and multiplications. The target is for the children to keep improving their score, by beating their BEST EVER SCORE, and ultimately eventually completing all 40 questions in 90 seconds.
