Welcome to Holbeck Class

General class information

A huge welcome to Holbeck Class. Our class consists of Reception and Year 1 children and we are lucky enough to enjoy an exciting curriculum filled with lots of learning through play and exploration alongside some more formal whole-class sessions. 

We love learning and love to try new things. We have lots of escapades planned for this coming year from trips and visits to charity work and visitors. We thrive on trying new things and gaining new experiences.

We are lucky enough to take part in weekly baking sessions and a half termly art and craft session with a local artist who visits us and plans themed sessions for our children to take part in...our learning doesn't stop just with our main teaching staff, we love to get involved with our community too. 

We love for the children to take their learning home with them and to practice the trickier elements and gain confidence and so weekly homework can be found on Tapestry each Friday. If you are having trouble logging in, please call the school office for help. 

Tapestry

In Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1 we use an online learning journal called 'Tapestry' to share your child's learning with you as well as with other professionals.

Tapestry allows you to log in and see what your child has been learning in school and gives you the opportunity to share experiences from home with us, which we find super helpful when building a relationship with our children. 

This is a secure site which allows only you to view your child's learning journey and gives you an insight to the learning opportunities they access whilst with us in school.
