Langwith Class 2025-26

Welcome

Hello and welcome to our class page!

We are a mixed class of Year 3 and 4 children. Our classroom is home to lots of lovely children and adults, where we feel it important that everyone feels valued as an individual.

This year we will work hard, complete lots of super activities, but most of all we will enjoy it and have lots of opportunities to smile and grow as individuals. We will achieve this through our school values of Tolerance - Compassion - Forgiveness - Personal Responsibility - Honesty - Morality. Most importantly, we will show respect towards each other by treating people as we would wish to be treated ourselves.

P.E.

Our PE lessons are weekly on THURSDAY afternoons. If this changes day for any reason, I will communicate this in advance. Long hair must be tied up and all jewellery removed.

Homework

Spelling homework will be given out on a Monday. Words are to be practised by writing each word out in their spelling homework book three times, before including that word in a sentence.
e.g. different different different

Reading We ask that children read at least 3x per week at home. Reading diaries (one entry per day please) will be checked and books changed every Wednesday. Books will be changed upon completion.

Maths Challenges These will be set as necessary, dependent on the learning week to week. Times tables will be completed every week and therefore these can be practised at home whenever possible. When a piece of maths homework is set, parents/carers will be informed via Arbor.
