PE

Our PE lessons are weekly on Thursday afternoons. It would be helpful for children to keep their PE in school all week to cater for any possible timetable changes. Please label all items of your child's PE kit. Long hair must be tied up and all jewellery removed. If your child forgets their PE kit, they will need to borrow a school kit, this ensures that they can still participate in our weekly sessions.

For autumn term 1, our PE lessons will be Multi-skills  (indoor kit needed).

For autumn term 2, our PE lessons will be Football (outdoor & indoor kit needed).

For spring term 1, our PE lessons will be Gymnastics (indoor kit needed).

For spring term 2, our PE lessons will be Handball (outdoor kit needed).

For summer term 1, our PE lessons will be Athletics (outdoor kit needed).

For summer term 2, our PE lesson will be orienteering and cricket (outdoor kit needed).

Homework

  • The children are expected to read as much as possible, and need to read at least 3 times per week. Please record this in your child's reading dairy. Children earn rewards for each 100 reads as per our whole school reading reward scheme. Children are given school reading books but are also encouraged to read books that are of personal interest to them in addition to this.
  • SATs week is Monday 11th-Thursday 14th May, so please don’t book any holidays on these days!
  • Alongside reading, the children will have spellings to learn (tested on a Monday)
  • Weekly maths/comprehension or grammar homework, based on your child's current learning, will also be sent home on Mondays. This should be completed and handed in by the following Monday.
